A slight chance of snow in the South.
Awe when white fluff fell from the sky!
More and more came down.
Soft, the sound of snow.
We ran.
We stood.
Eyes wide.
Look up. Look down. Look out. Look ‘round!
We want to make a ball and a man! Dry, white - it won't stick…
A slow drive in the truck to see the sight.
How nice a sled would be
but a car hood or tire tube will work in a pinch!
Now off to tramp in the wood, then eat fresh bread and a bowl of stew…
Life in a snow globe is swell!
The End.

The memory of those two enchanted snowy days already feels like a distant dream, now that the air is thick with warm humidity. Yet, on those magical days, my craving for a genuine winter wonderland was finally fulfilled...without leaving my northwest Florida home!
Writing prompt for January 21-February 3
•Write a short story using words with only one syllable.
Magical! Also I’d take the warm humidity right now 😅👌💝
Didn’t even notice the one syllable until the last. Fun challenge.
