The plan is made: “let’s leave at 8:00”. At 8:27 the first Schneider arrives on scene, pleased to see that albeit late, they’re still first. They relax a bit and finish getting ready in the car. “En route” chirps the family chat as said family member turns the key in the ignition and backs out. “Same” comes a response from another. By 8:57 all members are on scene, bustling about, and talking over one another explaining how for one reason or another the morning hadn’t gone as planned. Everyone understands. Shortly after 9:00 the expedition departs; nobody is distraught, and the inlaws are resigned.
The plan is made: “let’s leave by 8:00”. At 7:41 the first Kaufmann promptly pulls in with a smug smile. They secure the last minute details and prepare to wait. At 7:53 the next vehicle wheels in briskly and sets everything in order to join the waiting. At 7:55 it is acceptable to push Send on the “Where are y’all, we’re waiting” message. At 7:58 and 7:59 the remaining members arrive, throw in their gear, and the caravan departs at 8:00, almost LATE! Nobody is distraught, but at least a couple of the inlaws are winded.
The plan is made, but families operate on different wavelengths, sometimes with opposing strengths. It's great to be flexible and it's a superpower to be On Time, but the interpretation thereof varies. Blessed is the blender of Life!
This made me laugh😂 good writing 👍
"It's acceptable to press Send" I love how it's implied this message is typed and waiting to be sent for several minutes already
These two sides usually marry each other, along the early to bed and night owl.
